It sounds like this thread is more about you wanting to call your friend "fat" than any logical concern about damage to your S. Maybe the real potential for harm is inadequate IQ behind the steering wheel.

With the obesity epidemic growing so rapidly, scientists predict that by 2025 no one will be able to fit in an S.......now theres something to think about while u realise this thread is pointless ...

I'm 230 lbs, fully dressed. Most of my friends push 200 at a minimum. It takes "nothing" to exceed that 400 lb payload capacity that Honda publishes for this car. I used to have a 1993 Honda Goldwing motorcycle. The manual for that also listed a maximum cargo capacity (people and stuff) of 400 lbs. Have you ever seen a Goldwing going down the freeway with big Daddy and big Momma on the back, all while pulling a trailer? I guarranty, they are "way" over that 400 lbs.

The bike handles it just fine. So will the S2000! I think Honda just likes to be ridiculously conservative with these numbers. Don't worry about it.

Steve R.

No, I don't think a 400lb fat guy won't damage your suspension for a short drive, but i'm still wondering how the hell he fit in the passenger seat!?!

I just got off the scale ( 284 lb.) no shoes, so basicly me and my wife are over 400 lb. limit and she's pretty skinny (120 Lb),

I guess it's time to get her on diet
