I handwash my S and so I'm familiar with the teeny tiny rock chips I had on the bumper. I had my bumper repaired/repainted from a minor fender bender and now there are lots of BIG rock chips on the bumper!!! Is there a difference in the quality of the paint they use. I also noticed that some parts of the paint on the bumper--is dull!! What should I do?

When I picked it up, I squatted down and scanned the entire car by "walking" around the entire car. I noticed a deep scratch by the driver's side fender that they covered up with touch up paint. I also asked if they could adjust the bumper to make it more flush to the body.

Got car back but it was too dark to check it--> it looked fine except the bumper wasn't aligned.

Luckily, we had to remove my bumper to install the Injen CAI so we were able to see that they did not replace some of the bolts and that they did not replace a frame that was bent. I took my car back and showed the digital photos of the frame that wasn't replaced and the missing bolts. They are going to take care of it (i hope). Now I know the reason why my bumper wasn't aligning and flush to the body. I am going to mention the paint job. I want to ask them if they will repaint my bumper with better quality paint or take care of the rock chips. Also, want to ask them to show me the repaired frame and replaced bolts before installing the bumper back on to reassure that the job was done correctly.
What do you think?? What should I do about the paint?

I don't know how to post pics on here...but I do have pics.

Try this....

Replace the 'greater than' & 'less than' symbols with square brackets, namely '[' & ']'

The bumper is made of a different material than the car, so the paint might look dull on it as compared to the car. They also add flex agent to the paint to make sure it sticks to the bumper and won't crack if hit slightly.

Nice avatar.

May, it sounds like you are on the right track. I think that I would ask them if they clear coated the bumper. It sounds like they didn't or may have missed some spots? I would also give it a very thorough inspection before you take it home.

Hope it looks better this time.

After seeing the job they've done to date, I'd tell them to refund my money and go elsewhere. I know from past experience that depending on the color of your car, it can be a nightmare to get it matched. My suggestion would be to ask for recommendations from other s2k owners within your local area who've had repaints. Good luck and add my name to list of compliments on the Avatar
