Isn't that sort of like just a short shifter adapter? It reduces the throw, but doesn't actually shorten the shifter... I got one of those for my Prelude a couple of years back and it just shortened the throw by about 30% but the actual length of the shifter stays the same.

The short shifter like what Rick's sells actually shortens the shifter as well as the throws.

I would be all for that! From all the reviews I have read the Axial works great but I don't like how low it is when you put an countersunk know on it. To low in my opinion.

Yeah... I'm personally a fan of shorter shifters. I think the S shifter is way too high. However, some like it like that.

The adapters are good if you don't want to lose the height of your shifter, but want to shorten the throws. It's also A LOT cheaper!! However, since the S has such amazingly short throws to begin with, I don't think they're going to come out with an adapter for the S... There isn't really a point to it and I don't think you can shorten your throws on it by much more than what it is now. However, on the Prelude I had, the throws were amazingly long and an adpater was absolutely needed. Even still, going from my Prelude (with the adapter) to the S, the S throws were amazingly even shorter than what the Prelude was WITH the adapter...
