Default Differential bolt size for a custom hitch

I would like to have a friend try to make me a custom hitch tomorrow based on the chase race hitch and the likes that I found on the net. I read that another install used a different bolt size to attach the differential hitch beam, I would assume longer to accommodate the increased thickness. Could someone tell me what the size of the stock bolts on the rear differential is and maybe their torque?

EDIT: It's the 4 on the black plate.
EDIT2: wrong image

Thanks!

Here's a pic of the bolts I'm talking about.

PS if the bike falls off *sigh* I've been wanting to upgrade http://i.pbase.com/u11/rsrock/upload...7.DSCN1177.JPG

Just pull the two you need off the diff, take them to the hardware store, and buy some the same but a little longer. No big deal.

Torques are specified in the Helm Manual.

Yes, seriously. Grade 8.8 bolt (which is probably the default) is perfectly fine.

I guess I should have put that in <sarcasm> quotes. If I had a Helm manual I doubt I would ask a torque question, I'm not working to get my 'PPD Average' as high as yours. As for taking the bolt off and then going to the store, maybe in my next car.

Thanks for letting me know the grade, maybe I should have asked what color to get the torque.

Cool, I've seen that hitch. I would rather try to make one right now than having to drill holes in the car though. But if that doesn't work the desire to tag my bike along might drive me nuts enough to put some speed holes in it.

Had the bolt on hitch and bike rack made. The hitch was made from aluminum and bolted on just like the chase race hitch. Didn't do the pivot points to be able to remove it though. Rack was made from an angled steel tube and a bolted to an aluminum rail. Can't wait to go riding tomorrow without having to pedal for 8 miles to reach a fun trail.

Here's a pic

How is the clearance for the hot exhaust, it looks totally even with tires = HOT POP
do you have other angles?
is the rack a DYS or store bought?

looks good
