I voted 'I like it, its different'

BUT, i'll have you know its not different... a buncha old 80's buicks have them too.

I read that the digital dash is made to save space, not because honda thought it would look cool or 'be different.' This way, they can accommidate the small steering wheel and retain proper gauge cluster visibility.

Took some getting used to, but now when driving a car with an analog speedo, I miss the readout. Go figure.

AP1 I love; I don't care for the AP2 version (among numerous other things with AP2). An analog tach going to 9K might be fun though...

I prefer analog. But with the size of our instrument panels dials would have been impossible to see. (Note the vintage badge.)

I was disappointed with the smaller tach on the AP2, it's less dramatic.
I was told by the salesman who sold me my car (and who also owns an AP1) that it was to make it more like an analog tach. It really is true... the range of motion is very close to what a regular needle would be. I think it makes the adjustment easier.

I don't like it because it's different, I LOVE IT because it's functional. The tach is so crucial in this car, it needs to be super visible. How else could they fit an analog gauge in that space? Also, the evident influence from sportbikes and F1 cars is awesome . (Oh yeah, and I'm pretty sure it saves weight too.)

I honestly think the tach in the S2000 is easier to read than a traditional analog tach, and I love how the last 3000 RPM (AP1 at least) are spaced out farther than the first 6000, just like a race car, and it's awesome how the VTEC engagement point (6000) is at 12 O'clock, top dead center.

I was disappointed with the smaller tach on the AP2, it's less dramatic.
