Hey everyone:

That's the great thing about this site. . .you can VENT!

I always park my S2000 in front of my office in between a landscaped median and a handicap spot. It's the perfect place to park. . .I always squeeze as close to the cement curb as possible so that if someone does come along and decides to park next to me, there will be a large gap between their car and mine. Well, would'nt you know it. . .

Just yesterday I go out and notice a small glimmer of sunlight on the sumptuous curve. . .A DAMN DING! And it so bad. . .so very bad. . .there's a piece of paint missing and a chip of blue paint wedged in. . .obviously from the maniac who hit my car. . .folks have no respect now a days!

Well, I've told my wife that now's the time to trade and get the spa yellow. . .nah. . .just gonna get it fixed! I feel like Jim Carrey in LIAR, LIAR when he sees the scratch in the Mercedes at the impound lot. . .I'm just pissing and moaning. . .

The thought of getting a ding in the parking lot at work has been troubling me for some time. The spaces are very tight. There are spots that leak water from the ceiling, and valet parking is no solution because I see they push the bumpers when parking. Does anyone put up a cover over the car at public parking? I have not gotten the car yet, and already I am worrying about it. I just might walk to work or keep the old accord for the trip to work.

I've said it before, but I want to say it again.
Those careless bastards should be prosecuted!
At least government should make a law against those people, agree?

I've been keeping my digital camera in the trunk of my S2000 at all time (just in case any thing happens, and if I'm lucky to catch them before they drive off)
But check out "Dinguard", it's a piece of magnetic foam strip that you can stick to the car door and can be removed before you drive your car. I alway try to park with the passenger side close to the curb or to a parking divider (at the end of right side of the parking spot), and just put the dinguard on the driver's side. I know if someone want to steal my dinguard it will be very easy (that is why I park the way I do, and only use one; so, I have another strip in the trunk. They can only steal from me once, because I have Clifford Alarm and Beeper to beep me if someone is messing with my car) Dinguard does not cost too much and it's better than having dings on the car).

I don't have a garage at the apartment, I have a very thick and good car cover from "TopNotch" which I put on. (because there are lots of childern here at the apartment complex).
When the weather is good at work, I'll have the top down and the Interior cover on to protect the rear window from the sun's UV ray.

Hey 850,

Just wondering where you can get this dinguard thing. Just curious to check out what it looks like and how much it costs.

I have a ding on my passenger's door too. Everytime I look at its like an itch I can't reach. I guess I'll have to pay the couple hundred bucks to get it fixed but the thought of inconsiderate driver's opening their door into my car drives me crazy.

MarkS2K,
You can check "www.doordings.com" that's where I got mine, it's about $40 per pair. and also "www.dingcushion.com" kind of ugly, but cheaper at $30 per pair. Or just search "door dings" or "door ding protection" on the net.
Theose strips of "ding protection" might not be pretty, but it is better than have dings on the car. (and you don't have to drive with it. you can take them off while you're driving!) Like I said before, I only use one at a time and park one side of the car close to the curb or "island". Good luck!

Airgate,
Try the paintless dent removal. I know a guy who had a large ding taken out of his Black Civic Si's door. You couldn't even tell that there was a ding! And black shows the most!
