Default Disappointed with Dyno results

Well it was a 92 F day with high humidity. MY04 completely stock, 3167 miles and hood closed. car put down 197.1 Hp on its first try, and 197.3 on its second and last try. these results are uncorrected. Seeing how many stock MY04 have put down over 210 Hp on many ocasions on this board, I am very disappointed

I would imagine that the heat and high humidity had alot to do with it. Try doing it again when the weather cools down a bit. I'm not sure if there is an unofficial environment for getting dyno results so that you can compare cars across the board.

From other posts I've read about the 04's, they actually put down more rear wheel HP than the previous models.

heat and moisture aren't helping u put up big numbers. wait till u have a nice clean cool and crisp day outside and run her again.. u will have more success. your numbers are not miserably low and could be directly due to the conditions. make sure everything is running well.. have you changed your oil? you might try checking all your cylinder compressions as well if u are still coming up short on the dyno.. good luck and more power to ya for running an s2k

The run was done on a Dynojet and I still haven't changed the oil (just a little over 3,150 miles!). Next, I will install a testpipe and hit the dyne again on a cooler day.

You said the numbers are "uncorrected", right? If so, find out what they would be w/ SAE correction. That's what most people use for their correction factors. With SAE correction, I'd guess-timate the numbers come out closer to 205ish. That sounds about right for dynojet numbers on a stock car.

What was the test procedure? Was there any time between arriving at the shop and putting the car on the dyno? I suspect you're seeing an issue with everything being too hot. Having the hood closed wouldn't help any.

The car had cooled for about 1.5 to 2 hours. The hood was down to mimick actual road going conditions. A fan was also placed to supply air to the radiator. Even with the hot and humid conditions I was expecting anything between 205-210 Hp.
