ditched the toolbox foam: trunk is huge!

took out the foam w/ the crappy jack and the cover, and wow the trunk is so much deeper! i could fit my full size 17x8 rim and 235/45/17 tire no prob!

You can wrap the tools in a towel and put them in the center of the spare.

Someone should design a foam/plastic/whatever tool organizer that fits in the spare tire, similar to the OEM trunk one.

All you would need is the foam, but I don't know where to get a block of it that's BIG enough to fit the opening

If someone knows where to go for the foam I'd give it a try....

That's what I did. It's simple, cheap, the tools don't rattle, and it frees up a "ton" of trunk space.

you want space? I took out the carpeting because I spilled something on it and with the carpet + tool kit out the trunk is freaking huge :-p I may just get some thinner carpet since my trunk looks ghetto with nothing but the bare metal, but trunk space is just amazing from what it used to be
