Default DIY SEATS

i was wondering if there was a DIY section where i could see how to remove the seats? my passenger side seat belt holder rubs with the panel behind the door near the convertible hinge. just curious and wanting to rebolt the seat

Removing the seats is simple. Slide them back and undo the front two bolts. Slide them forward and undo the back two.

In your car you will have some wires to unplug.

yes, 12 mm and 14 mm sockets are required and the only wire you will need to unplug is the drivers seats, careful not to yank out the seat after you took out the bolts you can rip out the wire.

I think on the 2007 both seats have wires to unplug, because of the new airbags.

I think so too...a weight sensor in the passenger seat exists which throws off the airbag system if you go with aftermarket seats.

Is it necessary to disconnect the battery and wait a bit before disconnecting the wiring harness to the seat? On another car I once had, I lit up the SRS light that only the dealer could turn off. I could have avoided that hassle had I disconnected the battery and waited for the SRS power supply to discharge. Is that the case with the S2000?

I don't know. It's possible. It's not a bad idea.

You can reset the SRS light if need be. I've done it.
