Default Do I have a defect?

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and a new S2000 owner. I have had my S2000 for about four weeks now and I have a question. Driving at speeds around 60mph+(especially on windy days) my top tends to make alot of noise, sometimes it is frustrating. Another thing is that my top tends to leak in heavy rain. Do I have a defect? My brother has a Boxster and he said he doesn't encounter any of these problems, but again it is a Porche. I looked into a hard top put it is $$$$$$$$$. Even though the top is a slilght problem the car is worth every bit of trouble I could ever encounter. It rides like my cycle and handles awesome.

I think even in the manuel it says something about the top leaking in heavy rain.Get some top conditioner and it will help repel alot of the water.

After 3 years, top has not leaked once. Never put on a conditioner either. Have it checked out.

My top leaked, and the dealer replaced one of the seals. Now it is tighter then a drum.

Get it checked.

PP,is the top leaking at a seam or is it pooling and dripping through the center.I'm sure the manuel has some type of warning about leaking but I can't recall the exact words.

The top is made of PVC so theoretically it should not leak through the material.

The top on a new car shouldn't leak. Have your dealer check it out.

3 years and no leaks, even in heavy rain. Get it checked out.

What everyone else said. There should no no leaks and no noise. (Other than the scream of VTEC, that is... )
