Do invidia exhausts sway/move?
Considering Invidia cat back system for my 2004 model. Am slightly concerned that there are 3 hangers in total (one per rear can and one for the mid setion box). Other exhausts eg the Amuse Dual R1 Titan have three hangers per rear can and I would imagine are much more stable.
I've seen one or two comments that the Invidia does sway and that this can be rectified by welding on additional hangers. I don't want to have to do this to a brand new exhaust.
The invidia to me seems perfect other than me concerns above
- good noise
- weight saving
- looks good
- well priced
Does any one who has an invidia find movement a particular problem?
It's of sufficient concern to me that I may consider the AMUSE although I don't believe it sounds as good. Other alternative is the 04 mugen but I have not heard any sound clips for this and would not be willing to buy it "blind"
If some people can reassure me about the invidia I will buy this.

I had the invidia on my last MY03. I think they may have addressed the swaying problem with the newer ones exhaust hangers. I installed mine myself and had no problems with it touching or melting the bumper. I guess it could move around a little when you are pushing around some hard turns.
The exhaust is one of the best looking and best priced on the market. I have to warn you that the drone in the lower revs can drive you nuts on longer trips(or short ones). This is when you need the silencers, which it comes with.
I am thinking about getting another one for my MY04 s. I still have not seen a picture with the near rear bumper. Does anyone have a picture of the invidia with the MY04 bumber???????????????????
good luck

I had the original Invidia. After reading about folks just slapping it on and going, subsequently melting the plastic, I took care to bend and re-bend the hangers so as not to have it touch the rear bumper.
However, I drive my car hard at times and have autocrossed and tracked. I have melted the rear bumper, but not too terribly bad compared to some folks. I just purchased the '04 Invidia because I just got an '04 rear bumper. I'll be doing as someone else once posted. I'll hang the exhaust as it comes and then secure it further by tying wire from one side(exhaust) to the other side of the car body. I'll repeat for the other side so as to fasten it like you would secure a load in a truck or car on a trailer.
Hope this helps. You will not find an exhaust with a better note. We have over 40k miles on the original one and we have had the silencers in for ZERO miles... never even out of the bags. My wife wouldn't have it any other way!
And that includes my 3500 mile trip to San Antonio, TX from just south of Washington, DC.

My invidia exhaust sometimes rattles against some part of my transmission and makes an annoying noise and rattles my shift knob. It doesnt do it often , but when it does its annoying! But I still think its an awesome exhaust.
