If it's a mostly street driven car, the money would probably be better spent elsewhere.

ugh, you're asking about a thermostat and you're listing all your appearance mods? Like those have anything to do with anything

A thermostat just either stops the coolant from flowing to the radiator, or it allows it through the radiator. An aftermarket part isn't going to do a damn thing for you.

Unless there's some other type of thermostat out there that I've never heard of.

mugen stat and fan switch make your car run a bit cooler.. good for the track where heat build up is an issue.

I believe running a cooler thermostat will cause your spark plugs to foul up more quickly as well. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Not true, spark plugs won't foul up just because an engine is running cooler. Most of the time, they will foul if you are running too rich, etc.

not sure how much those cost, but if that's a concern, then just get either a bigger (higher CFM) fan, or get a thermostat that will open at a lower temperature.

Ok i've been searching and reading all the posts and topics i could find on the mugen thermostat/switch combo.

I don't plan to do any track racing.
I use my s2000 as a daily driver and occasionally race on the streets (after my warranty is up I will start using it more for street.

I'm confused... Does this mod increase or decrease fuel economy or not and should it be used for just street usage?

It should totally improve the functionality of your spoiler, side strakes, and Rick's badges.

Not worth doing as a lone cooling mod.
