Default Do you drive with your lights on in the daytime?

Just wondering how many of us drive with our headlights on during the daytime (even when it's clear out).

I got into that habit when I first got my license just because it's a safety issue. I think that driving a little car makes some drivers less likely to see you coming. Having the headlights on even during the day is like saying "Here I am!".

What do you all think?

In my previous car, I did it all the time..
Now.. I'm less likely unless necessitated by weather... or when participating in a group drive or the like...

This is funny, this came up on the RX8 forum and 1 guy just got into a pissing match about how it "blinds" him (oncoming cars that is) and how during the day your lights should be OFF.

I thought it was rather hilarious, how can it BLIND you? You can barely see it, it's like a flashlight during the day, you see the spot is brighter but it doesn't really "shine" on you.

In canada we have DRL's so yup all the time

Would like to have the Canadian option of running lights comming on during the day. I think this is a positive in helping to see the car.

If it is raining I turn on the lights.
Also, if someone is tailgaiting me or is bothering me for a race and is just behind me, I turn the lights on which makes them think I am braking and I take off at the same time leaving them in the dust.

I've heard that it is illegal to drive with just the parking lights on in CA, even during the day. I don't know how true it is, but you might want to check into it before you get ticketed (if it is indeed illegal).
