Default Do you got time for a great story????

Yesterday i went to go buy a winter car. I went to the dealship and test drove a CRX. I got in the car, pulled out of the spot, pulled into traffic, got into my lane and shifted into second. Suddenly a car swerves into me and hits my drivers side door!
Now keep in mind this is NOT my car, its the dealers. Im on a test drive. So i pull over at the apex of a turn on the shoulder and get out. This scum bag looking guy gets out and starts swearing at me. He looks at his car and yells at me. "How much damage to you got?" I said "It aint my car pal! It there's!" as i pointed at the dealer. This guy gets in his P.O.S. car and i get into mine. As I pull off down the street he takes off down the busy road.
My mind started racing with thoughts of me explaining how the dealer's car got its door bashed in. Thoughts of me shelling out hundreds of dollars for repair. Instantly i shift into first and take off after this S.O.B. The tires squeeled as i raced after him. I picked up my trusty cell phone and dial 911.
I'm racing, shifting, swerving, and talking to the 911 operator.
"911, whats your emergency?"
"I just got into a hit and run, the guy took off. I'm chasing after him now."
"Your WHAT???"
"Hold on, I got his liscense plate."
I read the plate 3 or 4 times, just to make sure that i got it right. The problem is that i cant see distances very well. (even though i am only 20" So i am like a foot off this guys bumber. Shifting, braking, speeding, talking! The 911 operator told me that the police are on the way and to stop chasing him. So i pulled over and stoped. Minutes later the operator told me that the cops had him. I drove to where they were and ID him. 30 minutes laterm I dove back to the dealer with the cops. The sales man came out with the biggest look of confusion on his face. The officer explained everything to him. No tickets for me, all cause i refused to be a victim.
I guess if there is a moral to the story its ALWAYS cary a cell phone.

Glad they caught him. Maybe you should go to the eye doctor if you have that much trouble reading a license plate when you're a foot off the guy's bumper.

I had no idea a dealer would just let you take off in a car w/o a sales person going with you.

Thank for the replys.
About the dealer. they didnt even take a copy of my liscense. I was supprised. That was the first time i ever went solo in a test drive. Doesnt it figure too. Had the dealer been there i wouldnt have to take off.
Although in all honest it was kinda exciting.
and about the car, i actually might end up getting it, too.
I figure there outghta be a discount now that it has body damage

that was a nice story! As far as the dealers go... i never have to have someone ride with me when test driving unless it's a Lexus or Mercedes... did you buy the car?..lol

Just imagine if someone did that to the s2000... after chasing him down i would've screwed the tow hook into the back of the car, tied a rope around his balls and tied it to the tow hook and then would have done a 8k RPM drop

glad to hear everything worked out for you in the end.

I would think a sales person would want to go with you so he/she could keep the sales pitch going.

That was a great story! I love when people get what's coming to them. Are you going to sue him? You should by that CRX now. You two have history together
