The song the OP put up isnt bad, just isnt a song I would blare. Honestly, I have blared Katy Perry songs, I like them actually.

I jam with the top down all the time!

There is nothing gay about listening to a "cute" song with the woman you love riding shotgun and singing along to it....

I jam with the top down all the time but if I'm in town or stopped in traffic I turn it down...only a complete douchebag jams his music loud enough for other cars to hear the lyrics or bass.

how much did it cost you?
and got any subs?
Parts were around $1200 total with my friend's dealer discount (probably more like $1800-2000 retail I think) but I'm pretty serious about my music & sound quality (yeah, probably shouldn't have bought a convertible for sound quality ). I bought some of the best component speakers available, a 12" sub, two amps, and a nice head unit. I just amped the stock rear speakers for now but I may replace them as I've been having some issues with the wiring. I'll try running wires directly from those speakers to the amp first.

For just a few hundred you can get a pretty nice setup. I'd at least get a new head unit and component speakers for your doors.

clearly you don't spend much time with a woman in the passenger seat....the radio turned up keeps her from talking.
