That is true, bu then again that is what they are made for. I would never try to compare the S2K to an SRT, they are two very different vehicles. All i'm saying is that for straight line performance they do very well, and for cheap. To each their own I suppose, SRT is not for me, but I won't make fun of them.
[QUOTE=radtech,Sep 29 2007, 12:55 PM]What do you guys think of the new Caliber SRT-4 coming out. I understand there's probably not alot of you guys that like Dodge, but you must admit they are making some serious performance machines. Honda should smarten up, and get there head out of there a$$. 285 hp and loads of torque. for only 24,995. WOW. The S2000 is becoming more and more of a who cares about an S2000, car. They need to do something at Honda. We used to be known as the most powerful engine per liter. Not anymore. Dam you Honda.
the only problem i see with the srt4 is you can put a baby seat in the back. that thing can beat me or vets or ferraris for all i care, its still a neon. thats the reason i bought the s, 2 seat roadster. i wanted a fast and fun toy, not a fast and fun grocery getter.
Well to those that hate dodge because it's 'merican, the motor is a Mitsubishi.
Anyone can make a car go fast in a straight line. SRT-4s don't turn, add more power they turn worse. That's a big part of the problem of driving the wheels you use to turn the car.
If I were going to drag race ONLY, I'd take the SRT-4, but since road courses and back roads are a LOT more fun than 10-14secs of holding my right foot to the floor, I'll take the S2000.
