Does 0-60 really matter?
For "real" world comparisons, I prefer ther 30-70 times that are given as an indicator. No launch skills required and I am more likely to overtake on the move rather than from a standing start at lights for example.
No problem tokyo_james, I'm very easy going! I live for a good debate!
You are right, 0-100-0 is not a good measure for the streets. I guess what I was trying to get at was the acceleration AND the braking all in one. I have experienced some amazing acceleration from cars that were absolutely frightening when you put on the brakes. What good is speed if you can't stop the thing? Having driven a CRX-Si for a very long time I know of the 3 pedals on the floor, the brake pedal is the extreme performance pedal!

I don't believe 0-60 has anything to do with racing. 0-60 is more or less a selling point from the major car makers to demonstrate how fast a car can accelerate onto a freeway, via an on-ramp, to get to the same legal speed the other cars are already at.
