Default Does '04 spoiler actually work?

Is the optional '04 rear spoiler simply aestheic or does it actually create downforce?

it does create some kinda down force...not much as to 'feel' it , but helps a little with highspeed stability
and the new wing seems to be better than the trunklid old one

Nope, but I don't like any exotic aero aides on street driven cars - it is poser to me - Like seeing a dentist in the right lane doing 45 mph with a whale tail on his Porsche. I think the S2k looks great as is.

No way dood, it's all about the aero!

I don't like the way the '04 wing looks, but aerodynamically I'd wager it has a small benefit. Won't really know until somebody does some scientific wind tunnel or other sort of aero testing.

It's too bad they couldn't have made something like the Mugen SS wing an option - it rates higher in looks and much higher in efficacy:

Holy Cheese Slicer!

It looks like a car searching for a gigantic alien lifeform, disguised as a 10,000 kg hunk of brie.

Downforce or no, I would not be caught dead driving around in a car with a picnic table bolted to its tail - it looks like one of those bouncy lowered Tiburons I see at AutoZone, with glowing neon exhausts and distorted Eminem from overworked amps blaring away. Where is the retch smilie?
