for whatever reason, most people don't go to the track despite owning a track ready car like the s2000. maybe price, car risk, etc. if you've got a reason, name it.

I don't put my M on the track for insurance reasons, and I'm not paying $2,000 for track insurance to cover me over a weekend. Before taking your car to the track, you should call your insurance company (both your agent and the 1-800 number people) to ask what their policies are - many have recently changed their policies on track events.

So I have a 1986 E30 that is for the track :thumbp: - not as fast, but it is still fun.

A friend of mine trashed his Celica GT while racing at Willow Springs a few years ago. So, lacking any sort of track insurance, he simply drove it to the pig farm that evening where he told of this wild hit-and-run tale. They bought it. His insurance company bought it. And a month later his sled was as good as new.
You'd be amazed with what you can get away with with respect to insurance.

Yeah, that's funny. Insurance fraud that I have to pay for in higher rates. I'm rolling on the floor.

Now do you truly believe that, if all insurance fraud were to cease this very day, insurance companies would lower their premiums accordingly? If you do, then I have bridge I wanna' sell.

Yeah. It's sort of like when a particular company (i.e., an airlines company) exacts pay concessions from its employees during "economic downturns." But have pay "concessions" ever been restored during "economic upswings"? No. Hell NO! For capitalism is greed-centered, and insurance capitalists, like pharmaceutical capitalists, are amongst the very worst.
