Does the S2K have a "classic" design?

Once again, I went to my local Honda dealership to stare at the S2Ks on the lot. I can't get over how plain and simple the car looks, especially compared to the Z, the STI, and other cars where the designers seemed to go a little overboard.

I guess I'm a fan of elegant simplicity. One of the best features of the S2000 is its classic design, in my opinion. It seems like a classic roadster from the late 50s and 60s.

20 years from now, I think the S2000 will retain its classic appeal, much like a timeless Stratocaster, or the Tour de France road bike race.

I'm sure I speak for the majority of owners and auto lovers when I say, we agree.

This is such a difficult question! I love the looks of the S2000. But only time will tell if it is a classic.

Roadsters from the 50-60's or even 70's are not as angular as the S. the S has a modern "produced by machines" body design.
The S2k predecessors......much closer comparison.

F2k is correct in determining if time will tell.

Classic lines, a loooong hood and short back.....

Honda did a great modern throwback design. The start button, metal shift knob accents, simple interior...classic!

This car will age like a fine wine I'm sure in 20 years people will refer to it like they do the Austin Healeys, MGs, etc (a purebred classic roadster).
