5' 10" and further confirming that I am the perfect height for the car.

The seat bottom's pretty easy to tweak if you want to. It has four bolts holding it to the floor. Yank 'em out, go to the parts store and get some a bit longer and some washers to space the seat up. Done... ;-)

I know because I did it. Not so much to get it higher as to work out the overall ergos for me in terms of sorting the seat to pedals and seat to wheel. Did lift it a tiny bit at the rear (2-3mm), but mainly ended up tilting the front edge of the bottom cushion up. The car could really have benefitted from some cockpit adjustability; it works pretty well for a wide spread of body sizes, but even my old MK1 MR2 way back in the day had a manually adjustable seat bottom, lumbar and side bolsters, plus wheel adjustment.

some washers or some half inch sleeves would be perfect.

I figure once I get it I'll try to just go with how it comes stock but if I need to make myself content I'll raise the seat up about an inch and try it out... That's a good idea with the longer screws... I had something in mind but I guess that seems to be the easier of the two routes.

Yeah, it's really a pretty easy fix since the bolts all just go straight down into the floor. If you do it, I'd recommend using washers rather than spacers since they give you the capability to fine tune the height and front/back rake.

uhh, why not?

plus you can just raise the rear and get what you want out of it since the front isnt going to raise your height anyway...

also an alternative to the seat locks out there and you can raise the whole seat.

I'm 5' 6", but I used to have an AWFUL time trying to get comfortable and see in my S. The seat didn't fit me well at all, then someone at a meet pointed out that I was sitting in it upside-down and backwards. Since then the ride has been great!

4 stacks of washers and longer Grade 8 bolts worked fine to raise my father-in-laws seat on his Corrolla... YMMV.
