Does size really matter?????
I'm on the verge of finally buying my own s2000, only problem is I felt a little cramped when I first took one out, I stand 6 feet tall and weigh about 175 lbs, Was it just a first impression or will it eventually grow on me. Let me know your sizes and how comfortable you guys feel in your s2k. Thanks
I'm 6'2 about 160 and I fit just fine. Obviously width is'nt a problem
. Leg room is more than adequate as well, and I have long legs. Try test driving one again, I think you'll be fine. Remember, it's supposed to be a pretty (comfortably) tight fit since it is a sports car after all. In fact I heard originally the S2000 was a four seater. It had a great, plush bench seat accompanied by 6 cup holders.

i'm 5' 11 150
i'm 20, so maybe b/c i'm young, i need more leg room ( i guess i sit like a thug , ya know, w/the seat all the way reclined lol, but i don't do it for show, i'm just more comfortable that way)
if i was 5' 9 i'd be WAAAY more comfortable in the car... i'd move the seat up, and recline it a lot more...
if i do that now, my knees rub the wheel and everything else lol
it all depends on how you sit!
i know the way my mom sits, she can fit in a matchbox!

I'm ~6'2", 175lbs, and after spending four constant days in the car [even managing to take a five hour nap in the drivers seat
], I'd say it is comfortably snug.
While it has better leg room than my '93 Civic Si hatchback (especially behind the pedals! Without shoes on, I can slide my feet behind the pedals and barely touch the firewall!), you're stuck sitting in mostly the same position constantly. Think of it as an economy-class seat on a plane.
After you've been in the car awhile, I think the restricted-ness feeling must go away. To me it felt comfortably sized.. but then I got back in the Civic and it felt like a towncar (it even sped up/down/and turned like one).

This subject comes up frequently on Miata.net as well. I'm a Miata owner, but seeing how the S2000 and the Miata are similar size, I thought I'd interject...
The general thought on the Miata forum about this is how your body is made. Some people are long in the legs while others are long in the torso.
Those with long legs tend to have trouble with leg room and not being able to stretch their legs comfortably in the driving position, while their upper half fits. The others with the longer torso find their heads too cramped and even above or scraping the soft top, but their lower half is fine.
This obviously mainly effects people 6' and over since they have less room to play with unlike shorter people.
A friend of mine is 6'4". Long legs. Any car he's in, his legs are bent to his chest (heh...so it seems). But for him that's life...and he's used to it.
Now, Honda did try to make the interior as F1 cockpit-like as they could. I say try sitting in the S2000 again and see if you could become accustom to it, maybe you do simply need to just get used to it like you said.
