Does updated clutch disk (TSB#054) really, really solve deceleration noise problem?

I did an entensive search on this topic but couldn't find a conclusive answer to this question.

Some members said the noise comes back 1,000 mi or so after the change. I am scheduled to bring my S in on Tuesday. However, if there is no improvement on lessening the noise, then perhaps I'll put another 20k mi on the current clutch disk before going to Honda to swap for a new one.

My 01 is supposed to have the updated clutch - 800 miles new, and the noise came back. If it is just the noise bothering you, I would not make that swap till later in the warranty period (after you have abused that clutch more )

I have this problem with my S2000 aswell. Is this something the dealers are aware of and are fixing as a service recall or something similar. If I were to go to my dealer, how would I convince him to fix this.

If you listen carefully, even upon acceleration, you are likely to hear it at the top end of the rev range upwards of about 7500 rpm...

It is also less noticeable with the top down.

Just had mine done and wow what a difference. I thought th rattle and buzz were just part of the character of the car, but the car drive so much nicer and quieter when the clutch is replaced and the decelleration noise is minimized. I have not put 2k miles on it sinc ethe replacement of the synchors and clutchpolate, but I will attest to the fact that it so far has worked well in improving the drive experience for me, as I DO use the engine to decellereate adn the noise and rattle really was a nuisance.

Thank you all for you inputs.
After reading the first few replies, I was sure to put more miles on the current clutch before changing it. But after reading the last few, my mind is changed...again.
I think I will postpone it to after the Ashville meet, where I am sure I will work the clutch pretty hard.
Thanks again.
