My shifter vibrates a little, not annoyingly though. Does anyone else notice the high amount heat eminating up from that area and the cupholder?

yes, theres no point in keeping a cold beverage in the cup holder because it will be warm in no time!

I'm currently going through a problem shifting into 6th gear. The early assessment from the tech was synchro wear. I keep my hand on the shifter most of the time, always ready to shift into the correct gear. I'll pay more attention to it, and see what happens. THANX!

it does, the vibrating is normal but when you keep your hand on it, it can mess it up.

Mine vibrates very little. Many other cars I've driven have vibrated much more.
