Default Doh!

So today i drove 45 minutes to test drive an S im looking into getting. I test drove it and seemed to me like it asnt accelerating fast enough, and when starting in first gear needed a little more gas then it should have. So i drove the car for a little while and everything else was normal. When i parked the car when i was finished i noticed that the AC was on the whole time! Do you think i should go back and drive it again, and also does the Ac take up that much noticable power? Thanks guys, im new to posting

If you are going to buy the car regardless then ther eis no point. If however you are thinking of not buying the car, I would go for another test drive.

Oh if you are able to take it for a test drive make sure you get 3 bars on the temp gauge and then get into vtec territory (approx 6K rpm) to really experience what the car is about. That is if the dealer lets you :/

AC robs around 70 horses...

Nearly all automobiles of recent manufacture (any maker) have an air conditioner cut off function, so that when the throttle is fully depressed, the a/c is temporarily shut off. The only drain from the compressor in that situation would be the additional frictional drag of the pulley and belt. Needless to say, turning off the a/c for a few seconds has no measurable effect on interior comfort levels.

Is this true? I have 3 post-2000 autos and have never experienced ac shutoff at full throttle on any of them.
