still dont see many stooks on the roads around here. when driving my CJ, other CJ owners wave at me- when i had the 911, other 911 owners flashed lights. i guess our lights dont flash well because the HIDs have to light-up??
what is the proper greeting for our cars:
do you wave, or flash lights? (or if you dont see any other stooks yet, what would you do?)

I usually wave. As a matter of fact I usually wave at all other convertibles.

The lights flash just fine because flashing the lights turns on the high beams, which are not HID.

I don't see many other S2000s on the road, other than my S2000s buddies at the autocrosses. There is one guy who lives in my area that I've seen a couple of times. I've waved at him and just get a puzzled look in return. He seems to have no desire to stop and chat, and actually seems bothered by the fact there there's someone else in an identical "exclusive" car.

I do the wave to any and all, but they have to have dropped the top... I found that about half or the z3 folk don't like to wave back...

thanks- did not know that it flashed only the high beams... it does not flash both high and low? my recollection was that when i tried to flash in the garage the light was blue- could be wrong.

no, i think the low beams (HID) and the high beams (halogen) go off when you flash someone...
the HID's do take about a second to reach 100%. it's pretty cool when you start them in the dark, at first the flash real quick, then dim just as fast...and then slowly brighten up...me like it
