Don't go nuts with the emblems

I have no problem with replacing emblems, like the ones being sold, but there are only so many "S2000" labels the car needs before it starts looking busy and in bad taste. Just my opinion from my Corvette experience. No offense to vendors intended.

Revver, I completely agree. There's a fine line between "personalized" and "tacky"

Jay Li: GM repurchased my ZO6 because it was burning oil at the rate of 1 quart every 400 miles. A few hundred (my guess) 2000 and 2001s got out of the factory with bad rings. There is excessive piston ring blowby (oil is burned) resulting in the oil use. The GM fix is to do a complete ring job on the car, which is unthinkable, IMO. I was able to persuade them to buy it back. I love Corvettes, but the build quality is average at best. I like the car and the heritage of the car more than the company that makes it.

The Stook is a completely different animal. Like a go cart. Closest thing to a motorcycle I'll ever own. It is nice that you don't have to speed to have fun in this car, although I do once in a while! he he he.

Dave,

Great to see you posting! By the way, I want a ride in that Viper of yours when you get it!

I hope it is built to be more reliable than our ex-C5 Corvette's!! Do you miss your Z06 at all?

Cheers mate!

Everything we do, and I mean everything, can be taken off so the car can be returned to stock condition without any damage: Console cover, shift boot, windscreen, head rests, and yes, badges.

I had put on the front aftermarket grill one of the S2000 emblems like those on the side of the car.

Well put, and agreed.

For some it will come down to wanting to be different, to have a unique S2000. I could climb up on my hood (denting it in the process) take a crap, and have it bronzed in-place and have a VERY unique S2000 too!

Silverfog: That would certainly make for a unique hood ornament!

Simon: good to hear from you. Did you ticket work out?
