Default Door handle conversion

Anyone ever think about converting our dated door handle to one of the new, more elegant and feels better bar handles?

i.e.

I love hte feel and look of this. Most new cars are using this design instead. If anyone ever rams my door, I'd get a this done along with the repairs.

No - are you breaking your nails opening the doors now? The reach over and pull design is usually used to save women's nails from chipping and breaking when they go to open the doors. Besides, i think they would look goofy on the S.

Ouch, burn!

I think they would look a little weird on the S2K, if I did anything I'd just shave the handles, not put bigger ones on.

Yeah, lets take a door handle that's:

1. Flush mounted with the car
2. Integrated perfectly into the ridgeline that runs along the side of the car

And ditch in in favor of one that sticks out and requires massive body work.

Then again, there are some people who use this logic to mod: "I can't believe this car's been out for SEVEN years, and nobody has done __________ yet! I have to do it to show you conservative haterz it can be done!!"

Lol.

= / my ideas for S2000 conversions always get flamed. Maybe I'm trying to be too unique, or just think of changing things nobody cares about. My other ideas included leather wrapping or spray painting the plastic center console cover (looks & feels like ass), putting a Momo plate on the mats for looks, changing my shift boot to a Momo shift boot, getting blue tint for a more luxurious look (i.e. Mercedes). The only idea I have going for me right now is the AP2 cleared headlights thread, but that seems to be dying down.

^^Hey man, don't let any of us stand in the way of your dreams. Shoot for the moon, and even if you fall short, you'll land amongst the stars. Never stop believing in yourself and the power of positive thinking. Change begins with one man.

Seriously though, do what you like. Who cares what a bunch of strangers think? If our opinions REALLY mattered, we'd probably be doing more important stuff than posting on S2ki during the day.

What an inspiring reply! Here's another idea. Getting all CF panels, then spraying it with 1 layer of GP white so it'll still show some weaving. This idea came from the Ferrari F40, which has 1 layer of coating to save weight and still look awesome.
