Default Door Handle Swap...

I am sure you have all seen the Nissan 350Z. You know how the door handles are silver even if the car is black, blue, or grey? I am wondering if anyone has done this with the S. I imagine that it could be done. I saw that someone was parting out their door handles on this site. I would want to put silverstone door handles on my suzuka. You would have to swap the lock and all but really, how difficult could it be? Anyone ever try this?

This might look good, but you would have to paint them the right color. I think the silverstone color would look like you replaced your door handles with used ones without having them painted body color. They might look good chromed or a brushed aluminum finish. Are these handles aluminum? If so you could have them stripped then use some 400 grit wet dry to give it a nice brushed finish.

I don't like the 350 handles. The color offset is nice, but they are so bulky they look like they came off a truck.

I agree; it's not the only thing on the car that looks like it came off a truck. In fact, my Toyota p/u is better looking.

The whole car is so fugging ugly I can't believe anybody buys it.

Yes back on track....It does have to have the right color. The brushed aluminum would great. It would offset my suzuka nicely. If anyone has done it please post.

I guess you will have to be the guinea pig. Try Ebay or a national salvage company like Greenleaf for used handles. Then you will have a set to practice on.

I would get a Suzuka set and use 400 grit to romove the paint from the handles and surround trim. I would leave the blue in the handle "cup" area. I think this would give a nice effect that would look factory.
