drifting and donuts
been experimenting with getting my stockish S sideways and donuts...
just wondering wat kind of long term damage/wear i should be expecting and how much.... (doesnt include tyres)
will it prematurely kill the diff and bushings?
usually i get sideways on rainy days to reduce tire wear and the load stress on the car.
your thoughts are appreciated.

It depends on your driving style, too. If you're initiating a lot of drifts with your e-brake, you're not going to see all that much. Your tires are going to go bald quickly and your body panels will suffer if you go too far out of your comfort zone, but other than that it's roughly the same as spirited driving, though your RPMs are often a bit higher. Clutch-kick drifts, on the other hand, put a lot of strain on the entire drivetrain. Your engine, clutch assembly, transmission, u-joints, diff, etc. are all going to take a hit from the quick (and powerful) jolts.

It's mainly the tires that take the brunt of the stress if you don't pop the clutch to initiate the drift. I generally just brake hard to throw the balance off when I do it
Yea the tires we'll see most of the wear if all you use is the throttle. Your cv joints are probably going to get a bit of wear too. If you really like drifting make sure you dont cheap out when it comes to buying tires.

not sure but i don't think a s2k is a very popular drifter car...but obviously drifting will have more stress on any moving part of the car and probably cause more wear than just regular driving.

So I guess that advice didn't age well
I wanted to see how much they went up so I looked for s13's in my local area and saw a guy asking for $5000 for an s13 chassis and some parts on Facebook marketplace
Any recommendations for a car now?
