Default Drilled Rotors

I want drilled rotors. I know RM Racing makes slotted ones, but I like the drilled look better.

Anybody know of reputable vendor with drilled rotors for the S2K stock brake package?

Read the May issue of GRM. They basically say that Drilled Rotors do very little to actually improve stopping. I`d go slotted.

I like the way they look. I'm not really a "take my car to the track" type of guy so I'm just looking for visual appeal and I think drilled rotors look sweet. Slotted make a little bit of diffference, but you can't see the slots like you can see the holes. I'm trying to create more of a show car, not a racer.

Why do slotted rotors chew pads? How about if you use aftermarket pads like "Green Stuff" or " Red Stuff"?
We were going to get those for our ride but now I'm having second thoughts.

I have had slotted rotors on the front of my S-2000 for over 4,000 miles of testing of my big brake kit I have seen no chewing of pads . I have seen no increased pad wear . We put slots in for looks not performance . I would not recommend holes in cast rotors that do not have holes cast in . You will not find performance advantage with holes they just reduce weight .

MG racing has rotors anyway you want them. Slotted, drilled, plain, whatever. They also got the colored lightweight hats with the zinc plated rotors to reduce but not eliminate rust. Drilled or slotted rotors will produce some brake dust though.

brad: How are you brake kits coming? I installed your lines and solo bleeders ( actually, a neighbordid mine did the work) in minimal time. Another neighbor wanted a set for his bimmer and called Earl's. I understand that the lines essentially are custom made and that you went to the trouble of establishing the prototype. Thanks

I saw the slotted ones on the MG Racing website but no drilled ones. The slotted ones they have look pretty good. The grooves look pretty deep so they show up visually good. Maybe I'll do those.
