Default Drive once every two weeks - precautions?

I only drive my s2000 once every two weeks now.

Besides using a battery trickle charger and doing general maintenance, is there anything special I should do to protect my car's health? Like switching to a different viscosity oil for easier flow?

Shouldn't be any issues with once every two weeks. Battery charger should be all you need. Let it warm up slowly too, i.e. don't rev past 3.5k until she is at full operating temp (which will also let your tires warm up too).

Have fun!!

Because sustained pressure over time to the rotors can cause them to warp.

It will cause the pads to seize to the rotors and possibly cause the rotors to get pitted under the pads from rusting. It's also hard on the rear caliper pistons to keep them engaged that long just sitting.

It would be wise to run full synthetic motor oil which protects better on cold starts when the motor has been sitting for that long. In addition synthetic oil won't break down as quickly which helps when you go 1 year or more between oil changes on a car that is only rarely used.

You would do well to install mouse poison traps where your car is stored because mice LOVE to establish residence in unused vehicles! Believe me, I have had all of my vehicles violated and damaged by mice at least once!

I understand that sheets of fabric softner will deter mice as well. Friend of mine stores his unused cars in a barn over the winter and this is the trick he uses.

A little easier on you than handling poisons and traps.

There's a big thread dedicated to storing the S2000 over winter on here somewhere... You should find that, and create a lighter version of it

vtec stops working after it sits for 15 days, so make sure you drive it every two weeks!
