Get an 06+, I haven't starting modding my 06 yet because I want more track time... but at least there are more options if I want to start modding & tuning. Good luck with the search!

Other cars with DBW = probably fail
s2k with DBW = all good

My 06 has phenomenal throttle response.

welcome!!
you gota keep us posted on how your search for your own S2k turns out....
Will do! I just did car searching and getting an insurance quote. Just get the feeling I'm not gonna find the GPW I was hoping for and end up with Berlina or Silverstone....but I'm sure I'll still be happy

GPW - hardest to find, best to own. That's why nobody sells them.

paddles would kill it! I had dsg on my last car (08 gti) and paddles are faster than a manual now, but they just take out a lot of the fun of driving.

You have to admit though, the dsg is pretty frikken sweet. I had an 06 MKV myself. Because of my left knee I can't have a stick as a daily and back when I had only one car the dsg gave me a taste of manual without the clutch. Flashed with apr stage 2 and she was a great ride.

Ahhhhhh, but those 06 and up seats. One of the reasons I fell for the S2k,was because of the Ap1,04-05 Ap2 seats. But that is a discussion for another thread.
