Default DRIVER DIFFERENCES BETWEEN 99 TO 07 S2000 ?

Hello,

After saving furiously for the last year i am now in the position to purchase my s2000. I have been looking at a new uk stock car for 27k but have seen a nice
little 99 car for 11k. Obviously a huge difference in price, alot older etc but i
have seen the tech sheet differences between the 1st gen s2000 and the new
07 model but wandered is it a competely different car to own between the two models.

I know the handling has been upgraded to lose the back end issues in the wet with the 99 car etc but is it there really that much of a difference between the cars,
when all said and done ??

Many thanks

There's no such thing as a 1999 S2000.

This is correct. US model started as 2000, rest of the world started in 1999.

not much difference. both very fun few comfort and ashtetic mods in the 07. A little more refined overall.. suspension, engine. electronic gadgets to keep you on the road. safeguards to not burn the clutch and break the diff.

both are great cars!! i had an 03 for about a year before trading it in for an 06. i think the greatest differences are the looks and interior. there are times where i feel the 06 doesnt handle as well as the 03, but then again, there are times, in some aspects, that the 06 feels like it blows the 03 outta the water. my ap1 did feel a little faster. the torque difference isnt much, but can definitley be felt. there are many differences between the 06's/07's and the 04's/05's....the obvious ones; VSA, DBW, wheels, seats, DRL's....then there are the differences that arent noticed right away...starting with the interior; new dash material, new steering wheel, and steering wheel material, new center console, darker radio door, and the awesome addition of the little storage area right in front of the passenger seat, almost like a mini open glove box. i might be missing some, but those are the more obvious ones. i have to admit though, like every other ap1-ap2 drive has stated, they miss the rawness, which is probably the hardest thing to deal with going to an ap2, especially, jumping from an 03 to an 06. hope this can be some help.
