I was looking to see if anyone had to build or have bought good drive way ramps. I'm moving into a new house and the driveway has the rolled curb so my cars don't have a chance to get in.

Any ideas ?

I found a company that makes rubber ramps that are 400 bucks seems like that would go a long ways at lowes.

First rule of looking at property is vehicle accommodation.

 

My neighborhood has rolled curbs. I couldn't justify $300+ for the rubber ramps, so I built my own on the cheap. I used pressure-treated deck boards (5/4" thick by 6" wide) cut to 18" in length. I left a 1/8" or so gap between each one, then connected them with nylon strapping and some 3/4" screws with washers.

They work great. In 4 years I've only had to replace 4 boards due to breakage, and 2 of these were caused by a concrete delivery truck. If you want more info let me know.

 

I have some 1/4" diamond plate on my driveway. 2 2'x2' squares screwed directly into the concrete. Kinda expensive, but haven't had a problem for almost 2 years. People have missed the plates before and had a half tire on the plate and half off and not a single tire has blown from mistakes like that. They can be a little loud when you drive onto them if there is a small amount of room between the metal and the road though.

Has anyone ever looked into having the curb cut? This company site says average cost of about $11/foot. Average driveways are less then 10' wide. So you're looking at about $100 or less for a cleaner professionally smooth curb.
