Yep. Yesterday I made a quick run to downtown Portland from Hillsboro during lunch. On the way back I could see a bit of rain coming down off to the north but it didn't look so bad and figured I could skirt it back to work. It started sprinkling a bit and then the big splats started up really quickly. I was in the fast lane on the freeway but luckily that section of 26 has plenty of room so I pulled over off to the left under the next overpass and put the roof up. As soon as I pulled back out from under the over pass it just began wailing down so hard I could hardly see the cars in front of me with the wipers going full speed. The funny part was that there was a white Miata not too far in front of me with his top down when I pulled over and there wasn't any other overpasses for a couple miles, so I'm pretty sure he got douched.

You get sun in WA??? When I was there it was clouds, rainy, cloads, rainy, rainy, rainy. Oh wait. I forgot the month of July...sort of sunny.
I live in eastern Washington state and we are now at 274% of normal rainfall for the month of May. Just a few weeks ago we were at about 45% of normal rainfall for the year and our governor (elected by a margin of 129 votes) was shouting drought and disaster. For those who aren't familiar with our lovely state, the portion east of the Cascade mountains is generally very dry with MUCH less rainfall than the left coast. By now, I should have been driving with the top down for about a month!

Come back in Sept and tell us what happened. The snow packs are gone. Sure the reservoirs are full, but they are sized so that they rely on being slowly refilled all summer long from snowmelt....

She wasn't winning before.

It took her TWO recounts to get her that win. (And who knows what kind of tampering there was between the counts)

Your point is well taken. We'll have to see how the rainfall is distributed throughout the summer to know how last winter's dry conditions impact river flows later this year. We don't have the snowpack battery to fall back on this year. I'm about to start building a boat now, though.

I haven't driven in very heavy rain with the top down, but I did get caught in a squall of snow pellets on Halloween. I had to put the top up when the pellets starting bouncing off my forehead. They hurt!
