Driving lights: Need ideas
I've said this every so often, I'm an authorized FET: CATZ dealer per my time with CLUB SOL. In CLUB SOL we found that CATZ MSC's would fit perfectly in our AUX spots and run of our stock wiring with a simple higher power fuse. As president of CLUB SOL I sold about 15 of these units to del Sol owners for just about my price on them with shipping. It was a club thing, I owed it to my paying members. Lets just say that MSRP was $200 and I got them to owners for under $150 (hyper Whites). They really kicked butt and are probably the highest quality lights you can get (yes, better then Piaa). (please note that CATZ does not allow this and was unhappy with me when they found out I was selling them this cheap, but.. after all they still make money)
I'd like to make my REAL mark in the S2000 Circles by offering these lights at my price to S2000 owners. You guys at S2Ki, I'd like to be an official sponsor.
I need help though, I need some ideas as to what driving lights look good on the S2000 and where. I have seen pictures posted but I don

I think extra lights would look fantastic in the fake air duct areas. I hate seeing cars with non-functional air slots and this would be a better spot than within the grill. We woudn't want to stiffle any more airflow-radiator problems.
We placed the CAT MSC Hyper whites in out del Sol AUX slots and they literally brought the road alive compared to the normal head lights. If you have a set of these msc hyper whites behind you (and I did several times during our national meet).. they will blind you like our hid. One guy had msc hypers and msx hypers, I was blinded.
PS CATZ now had TRUE HID bulbs... they msrp for $800 to $850 for a kit. If I get 5 orders my price is $500. stats:
35W
DI-H93 (h-4)
DI-H94 (9004)
DI-H96 (9006)
DI-H97 (9007)
DI-HH7 (h-7)
They say install time is 1 hour and will match any competitor. Made in Germany by OSRAM
Main Point: Performance and not cosmetic
CATZ has had 100% cust satisfaction with these.

I'd be very interested in something like you propose - either by adding lighting to the fake ducts or mounted to the top, inside of the main air duct. The kind of arrangement I had in mind for the fake ducts would be similar to the one shown here for the Civic, although that may require too much rework to the body panel: http://www.overboost.com/fpimages/205.htm
I checked out the CATZ web page (http://www.fet-usa.com/catalog1.htm), and they have some neat lights which would look pretty sharp on the S2K. The question is, are any of them slim enough to be a straight fit inside the main air duct (with no cutting of the horizontal grills)? Also, which ones would fit inside the fake ducts? There are 2 tabs (top and bottom) at the back of the vents, so it could be possible to mount a vertical mounting bracket between them.
Here's a post from S2WOOOW, who installed PIAA driving lights: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...ighlight=lights The pics are missing (presumanbly because he lost his posting privileges at PhotoPoint) but I think I still have the pics I took, if you want to see them. (I had been considering the Raybrig Type II HID Assists, there. They are a straight fit, with no grill cutting necessary, but at $895, they're pretty expensive.)
I guess we also need to know whether you intend selling fog lights, driving lights, spots, or all types. Thanks.

My PIAA's are installed in the "fake" air ducts with specially made brackets. . .
I paid for the install to be done ($250.00). Not bad considering I paid $400 for factory fog lights to be installed in my wife's Accord Sedan. . .
