Other than my recently found joy in driving my S2000, and listening to the fine instrument dancing between it's high pitched tones under my hood, I do also occasionally like to listen to music in the car.
Granted, the current (stock) radio doesn't exactly blow me away. Far from it, but that's nothing new to most of you I am sure. I am planning an upgrade of the audio equipment in there (more on that later) but more generally, what do you like to listen to? Does it depend on your mood (like me) or not? What would be your top "driving songs" (envision the top down, driving as the sun dawns across the horizon, the morning fresh air flowing through the cabin, and you and your S snaking it's way up a mountain)
For me, there's way too many choices, but I'll start with two (very different) ends of the spectrum, based on my mood:
Mood: Happy, (usually weekend drives, or after a great day at work)
* As the rush comes - Motorcycle (Listen here)
* I remember - deadmau5 (featuring Kaskade) - (Listen here)
Mood: Not so happy. Call it a mix of tired, frustrated, needing to vent, and pensive. (usually after a long day at work)
* Turn the page - Metallica (Link here)
* Jeremy - Pearl Jam (Listen here)
It's very hard for me to start picking my "favorite" song, you might as well ask me what my "favorite food" is, I'd struggle to answer that as much. The above is just a sampling of what I have listened to recently. After my family and friends, my passion for cars and music is a big part of my life. So, I'd be interested to hear what you define as "driving music".
