Default Driving the S is an Experience.....

So today my g/f had 2 friends over that are car nuts. They saw my car and were oogling over it. I offered to give them a ride and they were like "nah" My g/f told them it was REALLY fun, go for it. They finally agreed, so I gave them each a ride.

They were all after the ride and totally BLOWN away.

They couldn't stop talking about the car after

Then they commented about cars they've drove/ had rides in, corvettes, mustangs other sports cars etc. They said at first, they figured it would be like every other sports car.....

In otherwords, they didn't want a ride because they figured it would just be a disappointment, the car LOOKS good but probably ends there.

Well I changed their view of the car, they were going NUTS and had new "respect" for the car, saying it felt like a go-cart, so nimble and fast, it was more fun in the passenger seat then DRIVING any other car..... (I did push the car a bit and squealed a tad ).

Anyone else given someone a ride that went in and came out ??

some of my friends used to make fun of my car, calling it an overpriced miaita. they all ate their words when i let them drive it or give them a ride. 4 of them actually bought their own s2000 shortly after.

it's all about the test drive.

A friend of mine has driven a number of sports cars and is currently building a Cobra from a kit. Recently, I let him drive the S. After driving it a bit, I said, "Go ahead and bounce it off the rev limiter before you shift."

He said, "Now that's something you'll never hear a Cobra owner say."

Well, after he did, he was grinning from ear to ear. Afterward he said "Man, honestly I knew it was a respectable sports car, but I had NO IDEA!" He said it was a lot more fun than he thought and it reminded him of a little formula 1.

Total respect now.

Ouch...now thats something that I myself rarely do...let alone anyone that drives mine .

Back on topic...pretty much everyone that rides in my S2K comes out with the ear to ear grin...on the street or on the track.

It really is all about the test drive.

Yeah i give most of my friends good rides... i go crazy with and without rain... if it has rain i go to a open football stadium and close off the road. then i do 360's and slower climb gear downshift loose traction and turn my wheel and one time there is this kill going up and turn left on top and he'd thought that we would fly off... but i controlled my car before the turn... and for the girls it's mainly 0-25vtec-40 shift 41-60shift61-80shift80-115shift115-135 SLOW THE FU$K down... changing in ever lane so i don't rear end anyone but most of them change lanes before i get there

What the fuq did you just say???

you didn't answer...you blabbered...

...the first person to say that they actually UNDERSTOOD what you were explaining the first time reading it...gets a cookie. Anyone?
