Default Dropped an Advil in the front defroster vent.

As dumb as it may sound, I dropped an Advil down the front defroster vents. How do I take it out without removing the whole dash?

Put the HVAC system on full fan speed and defrosters and recirculation and see if it blows out, otherwise I would just leave it , it won't do any harm. The next step is pulling the dashboard which isn't worth the effort IMO.

Tried that earlier, but no luck. Heard it rattling. Might just drive it for a week and maybe it'll fall down to the fan on the passenger side, then take it apart. If that doesn't work, then oh well. Haha thanks.

put the car on its roof and it will fall out of the vent just fine. plus, your car won't get a headache.
ok…i'm just an idiot.

the defroster ducts are shaped in such a way that the pill will likely stay in the defroster ducts- it may just settle in the centre portion of the windshield. you could tape off the defrost vents except for one small slot and try to shop vac it out- maybe even fab up a flexible hose to the shop vac and move it about in the ducts. but I'd agree with 0.0 above that it will likely not be a big issue.

good luck.

Endoscopes that hook up to your cell phone are pretty cheap. You might be able to find it, then try the shop vac suggestion. There are also small attachments for vacuums meant for cleaning out PC workstations that would work.

I had to read the title twice.

At first glance it looked like you dropped an Anvil into the defroster vents and I was curious how you could do that.

Might not be worth the headache of trying to take it out.
