Default drove a new 05... questions....

hey guys- just drove a 05 s2k with 156 miles on it- i currently drive an 01 with 48k- i dont know if my motor is tired or what but the 05 felt much quicker in the lower rpms. i know the f22 has more torque and gearing but i did not think it would be that much different. has anyone else with an ap1 drove an ap2 and felt the way i do? thanks!

Compared to an AP1 tranny, you have the equivalent of a 4.3 FD in the first 4 gears.

Just because another car feels faster (or slower) doesn't mean it is. That being said I wouldn't doubt the '05 is a little quicker since it produces about 8-10 more HP (on average) than the previous models. That with the gearing changes will make the car a little quicker. However, the 0-60 times have been shown to be a few tenths less since the AP2 cars have to shift into third in order to get to 60 MPH.
