Hey, you guys have to remember that most of us here are car nuts. We would not have this car and be on this forum if we weren't. It does not surprise me at all that people do not know what my S2000 is. You don't see many around, you don't see much advertising for it, and the average person just doesn't pay that much attention to car brands in general

I think what the captain said is right...I've read so many posts where peeps are trippin b/c "their S was called a Miata" or something like that..come on peeps, there is no reason to get mad, upset, or even let it bother you. Most of the time its just an honost mistake. so quit trippin people.

Nope, all the documentation on my car said Honda S Type. Didn't even say S2000.

I just got back from 5 days in Estes Park. Nice area and plenty of twisties. More than once some numbnut asked, what kind of car is that? I'd reply it's a Honda and they would tell me that Honda doesn't make a ragtop.

Just got a letter from my dealer telling me about a 7,500 Mile Scheduled Maintenance (which already occurred 6000 miles ago!), and they refer to my car as a 2001 S-Type. Perhaps they use this naming convention in anticipation of larger displacement S-Types, or in recognition of S heritage?

When I got my first (and so far, only) ticket, the cop wrote Civic on the ticket under vehicle type. Oh, the humanity!

Where you able to get out of the ticket since he wrote the wrong car down??? That's not a bad tradeoff for getting the car called a civic.
