Default Dumb Questions on Forum

What I have to say will undoubtedly offend some but hey it won't be the first time I offended someone.

One can spend (waste?) a lot of time on this forum and it's not always possible to tell what the topic is from the title. In the last month or so here are some questions I have seen asked:

Where is the fuse box?
How much oil does it hold?
How do I shut off the "maintenance required" light?
What is done at the 7500 mile inspection?
What secret compartment?

There have been others but you get the picture. ALL OF THESE QUESTIONS ARE COVERED IN THE FRIGGING OWNERS MANUAL!

IMHO if you didn't read the owners manual from cover to cover within the first week of ownership then you don't deserve to own one of these wonderful machines. Remember, "If all else fails read the directions" and stop wasting other peoples time.

i have an idea...how about you worry about yourself...and let others worry about themselves. I don't see how someone's ignorance about where their fuse box is ....in any way affects you? Unless you are telling me reading through a few posts is your biggest burden. If it is....consider yourself very lucky!!

i think people find it more convenient and just plain easier to ask a bunch of people who probably know the answers off the top of their head.

i also think you forgot to take your daily prozac pill.

All I have to say is that at some point everyone has asked a stupid question, I mean $hit happens. Sometimes you don't know the answers to the stupid question, so you ask. Also, one person's legitimate questions is another person's stupid question.

P.S. I am still looking for that damn secret compartment, is it located inside the compartment underneath the aeroscreen?

P.P.S. If you refuse to take your prozac, you might want to give them to others, there are others on this board who need some.

How do you think the software industry acronym RTFM came about?

Someone told me the dipstick was behind the steering wheel. I can't see it when I get into the car??

Mine was when I got the car and I didn't know the secret compartment even existed. I spent over twenty minutes looking for the fuel door release. I kept thinking, "if I only had the owners manual".

Which brings us to another topic:

Some people COMPLAIN just for the sake of COMPLAINING. Here's something that will really drive you nuts, andrewewing. Sit up and look above the rear-view mirror, at the base where it's attached to the windshield. Oh my god, it's bare metal!!! Since you like to complain, would you please call American Honda for us?

And by the way, "Where is the owner's manual. Is it in the secret compartment that I can't seem to find?"
