[QUOTE=2QYK4U,Apr 20 2006, 07:47 AM] Not trying to be an ass, but I don't believe your gains at all.

Agreed, you can't take them set in stone. However no car is going to make over 15 hp just because it is warmer and more humid out. In fact, it would loose hp if anything.

I'm just saying that your definatly going to gain HP and TQ with a testpipe. I think the average is 7-8hp as well as 7-8TQ but surely not 0 HP/TQ

Oh and it wasn't a different dyno and not a different operator, just a more humid and warmer day
Again, I don't buy that. You might make and additional 7-8 hp/torque midrange but not peak. I have the J's Racing test pipe and I made an additional 1-2rwhp (peak). I did pick up some midrange though.

If I take the stock airbox off the butt dyno tells me that the car is slower, this is suposedly a 2-3 hp loss. When I put the testpipe on I felt absolutely no top end gain, I have a hard time believing that I didn't notice a 15 hp gain. I'm with 2QYK4U on this one, peak HP gain is very minimal. On top of that, the car gets dirtier on the back and smells bad. If I had it to do all over again, I would save my 100 bucks and leave the cat on.

I don't know where people get this "car gets dirtier" becuase i have yet to see it any dirtier then it was . It does smell however but I like the smell of catless

The stock airbox looses up to 10 hp...not 2-3

When I put my testpipe on I felt top end power. Different cars different people who knows

^ I am not going to argue with you over this. If your car made that much more power, consider yourself very fortunate.

Get a dyno, before and after, and settle this argument, once and for all.!!!
P.S.:the ECU does'nt have much to learn from a T/P.
