94 octane doesn't really matter

There's no way you're putting down 150 lb*ft of torque with those mods...that's the same torque I've got with ITB's and a fully tuned AEM EMS...and I can pull on any N/A s2k in the Orlando area except for Willie Gee, and he's running a 2.2 with AEM v2, Mugen AP2 dual, and an 01 ecu out to 9k...I match him shift for shift.
That dyno is just a wee bit off

At a dyno day I hosted, my s2k and a friend of mine had the same exact mods only he had an 00 ECU, our hp difference was less then 1hp and less then 1 torque.
IIRC the difference in the ecu's happened mid '02 so your friends car might not have had the updated maps. Usually however the difference is mostly only seen just before vtec where the early ap1s were too rich. An '03 ecu or piggyback tuning will see the most gains at this point, with only a few hp at the top usually.

Leans out the 00-01 ecu and gives better midrange/top end . I got mine for 120 then had the dealer reprogram keys for another 70. Good mod to do!
For 200 bucks you can get a vafc and one hour of tuning and make double the hp of the 02 ecu.

True, but the newer ecu will give better performance during partial throttle as well. For that in a piggy back you'd have to step up to the emanage.

vafc will gain some but not as much on the new map. Personally once I did research into piggybacks I came to the conclusion that I'd rather save some extra money and get the greddy emanage ultimate over the vafc. It is much more powerful and will let you tune partial throttle response as well as just as at WOT.

Do a search for it as there is a long thread with lots of good info and results on here. Also for even a bit more (now we're talking close to $1k) you can get one pre-tuned for various mods (set by using dip switches on the side of the unit) with a plug and play harness from one of the vender/members here. Many people have had great results.

I don't think that this is a fluke.... last spring I laid down 233 HP on a DynoJet and my only power mods are:
Apexi Neo
Invidia V3
Modified air box w/ carbon ram air set -up and K&N filter
Hondata intake gasket
T-B bypass
And fresh spark plugs at the time

Guys, the absolute dyno numbers are *meaningless*. You can't compare between dynos. Ever.

Their only use is to compare before and after mods are done to the same car.

example: My car made 201whp prior to a 9psi Vortech. After, it made 329whp. That's a difference of 128whp, or (assuming 15% driveline loss) 147hp at the crank.

We all know there are "sweetheart" dynos out there that always run high. Just like there are "heartbreakers". I happened to have my car tuned on one of the latter, since it reads about 5% low from what I can tell. I could care less.
