Op, if i good deal comes up i would do it.!!!
Agreed! Do not like the style of the E46 M3 convertible as much as the regular coupe. But I don't think I could live without a convertible after owning one now.

Look at my signature

I've had two e46 m3's in the past 7 years - no comparo to the s2000 and if you can only afford one car, go for the M3 hands down.

Thanks for all the opinions guys..I think the next step is a test drive, then a serious search for a 6mt/coupe in good shape/service history if the test drive goes well

I owned an SMG w/ the factory 19's, loved it. I've considered trading my S many times for an e46 vert. Like some have mentioned, can't go wrong w/ an e46 m3, truly a great automobile

I test drove a 03M3 manual no SMG, or whatever, and I didnt like my experience too much. The pros for me where the room, and acceleration. Everything else seemed...dull sorry, that was my experience....oh the MPG gauge was cool

M3 doesn't have the gauge, 330's do. I had a 330i... I sold it at 50k miles because I was scared of the maintenance to come. I think I just really wanted the M3 convertible so much. I love that car and for me it's either an M3 convertible or an S2k. The E46fanatics forum is filled with a bunch of douchebags. M3forum.net is where it's at.
