Default Earliest Suzuka Blue Accident?

My Suzuka Blue was rear-ended yesterday (Dec.31)! A young woman was too distracted with her kids and didn't see my car sitting in front of her! This has got to be the earliest accident anyone has ever experienced with their S. I just had the car for TWO weeks! Luckily I was not injured too seriously although it hurts more mentally/emotionally when you get damage to the car. The bumper seemed a bit displaced and there were visible dents. I will have the insruance adjuster and body shop assess the damage. My previous accident was only one month after I got my brand new E36 M3. I thought that was a record but the S got that beat by two weeks.

Anyone else who has unfortunately experienced accidents within two weeks of getting their S?

i have bad luck with new cars too, i bought a Nissan NX2000 back in 1993 and crashed the car on the way home from the dealership, i was hit my a kid on a bike. It was his fault because he didnt have brakes. i keep thinking what the hell kind of parents let their kids ride a bike without brakes, he was only 8 years old.

anyhow, glad to hear your ok. any accident you can walk away from is a good one.

Kacy Hendricks' blue was only a week old, if I recall correctly, when someone backed into it at a gas station. See the North Texas forum for details...

Not an S2K, but my blue Bertone X1/9 was rear ended on the way home from the dealership! So, about 2 minutes old and I couldn't drive it anymore

Luckily the worst damage to my car is from one of our drives, when a Celica threw a rock up and chipped my paint; OK though, we traded positions and my S2K got him back

Sorry to hear that - kids can be such a pain - but worse than that are distracted drivers (cell phone, drinking/eating, reading)...

My '99 M3 was <24 hours old when a big f***in deer jumped over a cement divider on top of my windshield and roof! Car was out for 5 weeks and needed a roof transplant.

My Suzuka Blue was rear-ended two weeks after I bought it. Fortunately, only the plastic bumper fascia was damaged. You're gonna have a hell of a time matching the paint. The Honda code does not work.

Your stories are making me feel a bit better already (with the exception of Dave T). I didn't think a guy can get into an accident any sooner than two weeks. I feel for those owners who did!

Thanks for the tip, Dave T- I will follow up on the paint code.
