Early lease termination
I am faced with having to make one of the most difficult decisions of my adult life...dispose of my '01 Spa...what i would like to know is what the experience has been with "Leasetrader.Com"...their service sounds graet, but nothing talks like the personal experience...my car is leased through AHC, so i know i can't assign it...
good or bad experiences please.
Thanks in advance!!!!

My S2000 is currently on leasetrader (actually, there are a lot more S2k's on the site than I would have imagined). It's been about a two weeks and I haven't heard anything. However, I suppose I just have to be patient. If you do a search with my user name, you'll see that I have posted a lot of info regarding the leasetrader process... hope it's of some help.

My friend got a job overseas and he put his Accord on leasetrader.com. It's not a AHC lease. He assigned me the job of fielding all calls and showing the car
I have gotten a lot of response (again, it's an Accord, not an S2000). There's about a year left on the lease with plenty of miles. A deal should close soon, but this guy wants to nitpick EVERY little item. I have never been in a lease before but I couldn't believe the number of fees involved: disposition fee, transfer fee, credit check fee, leasetrader.com fees, etc. It goes on and on. I can't wait to get this thing behind me.

I don't know the specifics that are involved, but there is a thing called 'voluntary repossesion.' You also have the ability to sell it to a dealer and they would then be obligated to find someone to take over the lease.
Both of these sound like expensive alternatives. But you need to find out what the DEALER payoff is, not the regular payoff. Contact your lending institution and get those numbers. At that point you will have a better idea of how hard you will get screwed to the wall.
Any way you do it, it will cost you. That much I know. But it starts with getting the numbers from your bank.
Good luck...I hope you don't bleed too much.

don't limit yourself to just one leasing company.. there must a be a lot of them out there.. pick up the phone and start calling them.. the only drawback is that you'll have to keep visiting them so they can check out the car..
