easy trick to tighten top
o.k.- not trying to take credit for this, but have searched and cant find the original thread that suggested that we use 1/2" piece of airline tubing (from a pet store- fish tank) to slip over the fingers on the latches to tighten them...
i couldnt get 1/2" to go on the part, but did get about 1/4"-
and it really did tighten them!
...tightened them so much it took me quite a while to get the top latches released!
now i need the solution to the "too tight top latches"!- anyone using the tubing got ideas ?

I think this would deteriorate the Rubber Seal.
I saw in another tread stating, while the S is in Storage keep the latched unlocked so the Rubber won't get smashed.
I know this suggestion is not for storage, but the effect will result in smashing the rubber even more....I would do this if there is a leak, but to stop rattling.

FYI, there was a thread at one point that talked about using the adjusters to do this... They're near the roll bars after you remove some plastic and can adjust the top latches if I recall. PITA to take a part and do it, but... you could get it "perfect".

thats a great idea! Thanks for the tip
