Default eBay Mugen HT

I realize this one is sold, but it pops up every now and again. I figure for a bare bones HT, this is not a bad deal. It looks as if they have a CF option available as well (maybe just a Seibon reseller). Does anyone have this HT? Can anyone vouch for Octane Motorsports?

I don't have one, but IIRC. The kit does not have the plexiglass window or the mounting kit so you will have to buy both. The fit is not good so you will have to do bodywork to get it to look and fit right. Overall, when everything is said and done you will be right in the ballpark of a FRP Mugen, so might as well buy a real one.

Edit: Just looked at the auction a little more. $960 hardtop + $150 shipping + $50 back window + $1250 hardtop kit = $2410. Add in bodywork and compare to the sponsor GB that have the real deal for $2450-$2750.

You can easily fix scratches in plexiglass. There has to be a cheaper alternative to the OEM install stuff...

Yeah, I'd get the $50 Plexiglass rear window. The cheaper solution would be custom made catchers that the hardtop would bolt into. I am thinking of this for a track car (ie, hardtop would rarely be removed). My figure is $960+$150+$50+$200(custom catchers)+$200(paint)=$1560
